about

This is an early recording that will be re-recorded before being added to the "Rockability" album.

That said, this is cool history . . . recorded with my brother Mike on bass and my uncle David on drums at Goldmine Recording Studios in my hometown of Ventura, California in about 1985.

I tried to make it "hard rock" - my mistake - and I was playing a cheapo electric guitar I had at the time - a very 'contemporary' design - through some not-so-good effects. Mike and David did a great job though . . . troopers. Thanks guys!

I believe that the song will work as a rockabilly tune. Obviously, redone.

lyrics

TONIGHT YOUR LOVE

Pay no mind to the words I said before
I was angry, didn't know what I was sayin'
There ain't nothin' that ya' can't make worse
If you keep playin' at these mind games you've been playin'

Tonight your love
Tonight your love
Tonight your love is miles away

You steal the covers and pretend you're asleep
It's a nasty habit and I don't know who you're foolin'
I put up with all your childish ways
But sometimes woman I swear I don't know what you're doin'

And tonight your love
Tonight your love
Tonight your love is miles away

Tonight your love
Tonight your love
Tonight your love is miles away

Make up your mind don't leave me
Hangin' with nothin' to hold on to
Make up your mind don't leave me
Hangin' with nothin' . . .

Sometime soon we're gonna have to really talk
You and me, we'll talk and we'll both listen too
'Cause I can't go on long like this ya' know
I need your love and I'm already missin' you

Tonight your love
Tonight your love
Tonight your love is miles away

Tonight your love
Tonight your love
Tonight your love is miles away

Make up your mind don't leave me
Hangin' with nothin' to hold on to
Make up your mind don't leave me
Hangin' with nothin' . . .
