THE NEED

Well she's kind of stupid, but she's so damn pretty
that he thinks he'll let her slide
He'll overlook her mental lack,
for the virtue of her thighs

But when the night it comes that they're together
and she asks him inside
He forgets himself that all the words
he said before were lies

The need made him a liar
The need made her naive
He was liable to make promises
That she was bound to believe
To satisfy the need

Well he's kind of strange, he doesn't do
the things she likes to do
But she'll overlook his funny ways
'cause she thinks he's kind of cute

And when she's in his arms it doesn't really
matter what they do
She really doesn't give a damn
about his attitude

The need made her a player
The need made him a pawn
She was making all the right moves
He was moving right along

They both need reassurance
so they whisper more sweet lies
Neither one would really like
to be alone tonight

There's more to what they're sharing
than some may realize
It's no-one's place to question
what's wrong and what is right

The need is more than simple
It's more than just a drive
It's more than just a thin desire
It touches all our lives
And keeps us satisfied
