brings together Pam's experiences with tornadoes, and
in another way, mine with divorce. This is one that I rewrote, and rewrote, and rewrote . . .

If I could paint a picture of what I saw, it would all be black and white
She was waiting in the stillness with a storm behind her eyes
If I had heard a warning, I would have tried to change the way she felt
But she was hiding her emotions, then like a train straight out of hell

When the twister touched down
The birds stopped singing
And I wished that I could fly
But I could only run for shelter
