about

I often refer to this song as my "wedding song" because I've been asked to sing it at a number of weddings.
One of my favorite stories is that after singing this song one night, a young man asked me, "What was THAT song?" . . . I told him, and asked, "Why?" . . . he said, "Well, I guess that's OUR SONG now . . . we just got engaged!"
But my favorite story about the song NOW is that I managed to work the title into my proposal to my own wife. I told her that I want to be with her "Forever And A Day" and she knew that I meant every word of this song!

lyrics

FOREVER AND A DAY

You must have heard me say "I love you"
at least a million times by now
Still I know they're only words
and words are not enough somehow

And so I'll show you with a touch
with a smile or a glance
I will show you by the way
that I hold you when we dance

I'll bring you flowers every now and then
I'll bring you laughter, I will be your friend
I'll stand beside you, I am here to stay
And I will love you forever and a day

There is so much I'd like to say
I love you more, the more I know you
And I do tell you how I feel
Still it's better when I show you

I'll bring you flowers every now and then
I'll bring you laughter, I will be your friend
I'll stand beside you, I am here to stay
And I will love you forever and a day
And I will love you forever and a day
